Cruisers,
A bit of other SCRC news you may be interested in:
As you may know, Tom Kaugher stepped down as First Officer of 179 some weeks ago. Subsequent to this he was involved in a motorcycle accident and has had to have some surgery to correct his injuries. At last check, he had been moved to a rehab facility in his hometown of Greenville and was in the process of getting better. Please keep him and his sweetie in your thoughts and prayers.
With 179 in need of a First Officer, Rod Armstrong, founder of that chapter, has decided that his contribution to the SCRC was best done in the form of leading 179 and as such, he’s stepped down as State Officer and returned to the First Officer position for 179. He’s handed the State reigns to Kip Carson of Columbus’ 344 Chapter. If you joined us at the awesome picnic a couple of weeks ago, you’ll probably remember Kip as the “Master of Cermonies” (and all around trouble maker) for the event. Besides being part of the driving force behind the successful picnic, Kip is already working to get chapter officers together, plan next year’s picnic and raise it to the level of State Rally.
I for one, am looking forward to the future of SCRC and I’ll be doing everything I can to keep things moving forward and supporting these activities. Thanks to everyone that’s been participating in our events and rides. Please spread the word to other riders you know to join us and perhaps nudge a few of our currently inactive members to take notice of the fun they’re missing.
